Museum & Gift Shop Hours
Morrill Hall exhibits and the Discovery Gift Shop are open:

Morrill Hall is closed to visitors on Mondays and select holidays (January 1, July 4, Thanksgiving Day, December 24 & 25).

Group Visit Options
The museum offers discounts for large group visits. Groups must book at least 1 week in advance, and payment must be submitted in one installment via one payment method. Inquire here about a Group Visit.
Service Animals
Morrill Hall welcomes service animals in the museum. Service animals must be clearly identifiable as such. Pets, emotional support animals, therapy or comfort animals, and service dogs in training are not considered service animals and are not permitted within the museum.
Parking & Directions
Visitor Parking
A limited number of free museum parking spots are available to the east of Morrill Hall (along 14th Street). Additional parking is available in meters at the entrance of the parking lot north of Morrill Hall, as well as at the parking garage off of 14th and Avery street (2 blocks north of Morrill Hall on 14th Street).
Accessible parking for visitors to Morrill Hall is located on the east side of the building along 14th Street.
UNL faculty, staff, and students are not permitted to use museum parking spaces.
Football Game Day Parking
During Husker football game day Saturdays (including the spring game), there is no parking available in the lot outside Morrill Hall. Visitors may pay a fee to park in other publicly available lots on campus or in parking garages and meters surrounding campus.
The ADA parking stalls to the East of Morrill Hall will remain available, but visitors will be charged UNL Parking & Transit Services' game day parking fee.
Public Transportation
A bus stop for StarTran routes #22, #24, & #25 is available at N14th & Vine, only a 1-minute walk from the main entrance of Morrill Hall.
Bus routes #27 and #49 stop outside of the University of Nebraska Student Union at N14th & R Street. Morrill Hall location is a short 5-minute walk from this bus stop.
Bus Drop Off & Parking
Drop Off Instructions
Conventional (standard-sized) buses should come north or south on 16th street, turn onto S Street, turn right onto 15th Street, and drop students off at the corner of 15th and U.
Educators and Tour Guides, once the bus drops you off, please lead your group west between the College of Business and Kauffman Residential Center and enter the Museum through the main entrance.
Shorter buses and vans may come south down 14th street to drop students off and use the circle to turn around. Please note that conventional buses will have to do a three-point turn in order to turn around here.
Accessibility
Entrances
Accessible entrances are available on the east and north sides of the building.
East Entrance
Visitors using the east accessible entrance should use the call button mounted on a post outside the east doors to call the front desk and request entry. The front desk will then open the doors remotely. Once inside, elevator access to the museum is located around the corner to the right. The front desk for admissions is located on the 2nd floor.
North Entrance
Visitors using the north entrance (located to the right of the main entrance staircase) may enter and take the elevator just inside the door. The elevator will open to a hallway on the museum's second floor. Admissions will be down the hallway to the right after exiting the elevator; the Discovery Gift Shop and Curious Curator Cafe will be to the left after exiting the elevator.
Wheelchairs
The Museum has two wheelchairs for visitor use at no cost. They can be found by the Visitor Services desk on the 2nd floor.
Mother's Room
A mother’s room is available on the 2nd floor just outside the planetarium. Visitors wishing to use the space may request access from staff in the museum’s Discovery Gift Shop (also on 2nd floor). The mother’s room includes a rocker/glider chair, changing table, ceiling light or floor lamp (for dimmer lighting), bottle warmer, sink and diaper pail.
Sensory
Download our Social Story about what to expect while visiting the Museum. Free Sensory Kits are available for check-out that include noise cancelling headphones and various fidgets. Kits are available at the Visitor Services desk on the 2nd floor.
